In the mid-1970s, the Associated Hospital Libraries joined in cooperation with the Oliver Ocasek Regional Medical Information Center (OORMIC) to participate in such activities as a union list of serials, reciprocal interlibrary loan, MEDLINE circuit support, a cooperative cataloging project, and courier service. Grants were obtained to remodel five of the NEOUCOM associated hospital libraries and provide MEDLINE training for the hospital librarians.

Since that time the Associated Hospital Libraries have become OhioLINK affiliates due to their relationship with and support of NEOUCOM and its constituencies.  This affiliation has allowed medical professionals at all NEOUCOM associated hospitals to enjoy and benefit from the online resources that are available to academic institutions throughout the state.

The Associated Hospital Libraries support the information needs of faculty, staff, and health care professionals of NEOUCOM and its associated institutions.  They facilitate collaboration among the libraries of the NEOUCOM associated hospitals and OORMIC. Most important, they develop, strengthen, and network consortium-wide communications, education, health science information resources and services.
